The
top 10 phobias include examples from all three categories
of phobias. These three categories are: social phobias,
agoraphobia and specific phobias.
You might have no fear of taming a lion, but be paralysed by a fear for spiders. You may be absolutely fine on top of a tower, but your legs seem to buckle underneath you when facing a glass wall on the top floor of a building. You may be able to climb a mountain, but wobble at the thought of an escalator.

Often in addition to the original phobia, a real fear about the fear/panic develops, adding another laying of distress.

Here are the top ten phobias I personally have helped people overcome in my 20 years of counselling. I have linked them hypnosis downloads, as I think online self-hypnosis is the way to go when dealing with phobias. It is a really comfortable treatment - in your own environment.

have interviewed the CEO of HypnosisDownloads and he has answered
all the questions I usually get from clients.
Phobia for spiders - arachnophobia. So much for enjoying autumn in particular - at least here in the UK. That is the season when there is an abundance of spiders, particularly in the garden. However, we also have HUGE black spiders (tegenaria duellica) running across the floor in the evening. Terrifying for those with a spider phobia. Forget about these poor souls taking a bath either, when there is this massive moving black thing in the bath - unable to get out. This phobia too is very easily cured though.
Fear of open or crowded places - agoraphobia. This phobia is all too often the result of people having suffered a 'nervous breakdown'. They have not wanted to get out of the house during the height of the crisis. They could not bear standing in a queue, were fearful of bumping into someone they knew outside, could not stand crowds and crucially they felt safest at home. Voila! Phobia developed.
Fear of heights - acrophobia. Yep ... this is me. Haven't had to have it treated, because I have dealt with it in a classic way: avoidance. There is no need for me to risk my life clinging on to a mountain. It is not so bad that I need to avoid ladders - I can still paint my house. So, I will leave it. The closest I came to needing to have something done about it, was when I was walking on the Great Wall of China. However, I ended up treating fellow walkers!
Fear of the dentist - dental phobia. I overcame my fear totally by having the most wonderful, reassuring, calm, kind dentist.
Fear of public speaking -
glossophobia. Terrifying! I remember when I had to
do a speech for the first time at a conference - in front of
about 200 people. And the first time co-presenting a
workshop - I looked like a rabbit caught in the
headlights. Oh, how I wish I had known about online
hypnosis!
Fear of needles - aichmophobia. Fear of needles of course is not a problem as long as you can avoid the dentist and the doctor. However, I would not leave it until you have an emergency. Get it sorted now, otherwise you suffer a double whammy ... a crisis and an all-out panic because of your phobia.
Fear of flying - aviatophobia. You can spot them straight away - the slightest bit of turbulence and they are hanging on for dear life. I worked with a fighter pilot once, who hated turbulence!
Fear of death - thanatophobia. This phobia is oftenn hidden. I come across it quite a bit - almost by chanche - when I am counselling people. If you suffer from that fear - do talk about it to someone you trust, a counsellor, a priest, vicar, doctor or anyone else you feel is likely to be able to understand. A hypnosis download means that you can treat it in the comfort of your own environment without any worries about what someone else may think.
Fear of germs -
mysophobia. Not infrequently these poor souls also have
emetaphobia - fear of vomiting - as that produces an
avalanche of bacteria (in their mind) and they can develop
very severe OCD. I just can't stand the smell!
Type the phobia in you are suffering from in the HypnosisDownloads.com search box to find your cure.
Please note: I deliberately did not write "your" phobia - you really don't want to own it!

You bet they are! The fact is that mostly phobias can be easily cured. However, if you visit your doctor, he/she may well suggest you take medication. My advice for what it is worth? DON'T! You will store up other problems and tablets won't get rid of your phobia.
There are several very helpful treatments for curing a phobia:
You can download the right self-hypnosis track for you now. Just imagine what life would be like if you did not have to worry about being confronted with that situation or object.
My absolute favourite treatment is the 'rewind technique'. It has a very high success rate. I will help you to remain calm and comfortable throughout the treatment and you do not even have to tell me any details about your phobia. Neither will I ask you to hold/see/do anything that you don't want to.
The actual process takes at most 45 minutes! All done and dusted after that. I like to take a session though for an introduction, helping you feel comfortable with me and your surroundings, explaining what and how I am going to help you and letting you experience a relaxing trance state. Then you are all set up for a successful treatment.
Whether or not your phobia comes under the top 10 phobias does not matter at all - you will very likely be cured.
