The story of this website

Over the last 20 years, I have - thanks to the incredible trust my clients have placed in me - gathered a huge store of insights, knowledge and understanding.

I don't mean in any way to say that I 'have arrived' and know it all. I am always learning - from every client.  When I stop learning, I better stop counselling.

All that accumulated 'stuff' was/is all in my head - no good to anyone, except - hopefully - for those clients sitting in front of me and of course there can only ever be one or two at a time.

I needed a website

When I started a private counselling business, I figured out how to cobble together a bit of a brochure.

Many years down the line and running a successful counselling business, I realised that I needed to be 'on the net' with a website.  I knew that the software I had used for the brochure, could be used for designing a bit of a website.  That is how I, at that time, ended up with the most ugly 'brochure' website you could imagine - it was dire.

Nevertheless, since 2000 or so, I had been adding the odd page here and there on subjects people were asking for.  I then realised that more and more people visited my site.  I was encouraged to write more and during the last 6 months I have made a deliberate effort to  develop this website with the help of an incredible programme designed for people who know their subject, but haven't got a clue about how to build a website.
